More than 80% of households in Great Britain satisfied with heat pump system

A survey of heat pump users in Great Britain has found that more than 80% are satisfied with their new heating system. The survey, which was conducted by the innovation charity Nesta, found that households with heat pumps reported broadly similar levels of satisfaction to those with gas boilers.

The survey also found that heat pumps are more cost-effective than gas boilers in the long run. Households with heat pumps saved an average of £500 per year on their heating bills.

The government is currently offering grants to help households install heat pumps. The grants are available for both new and existing homes.
