Production Engineer – Vacancy – Opportunity with ICAX – Blaina, Blaenau Gwent
ICAX is looking for a Production Engineer to join our team in Wales and help realise our portfolio of exciting projects in the design, delivery and maintenance of heating and cooling systems based on heat pumps.
ROLE: Production Engineer
You will be able to take responsibility for setting up ICAX's new production base in Blaenau Gwent for producing residential heat pumps. This role includes setting up testing runs for production, and setting up and optimising elements of the production line.
Task description:
- Working with the team to develop the smart manufacturing strategy
- Preparing, scheduling, co-ordinating and monitoring the production of heat pumps
- Interacting with clients
- Performing quality control tasks on budgets, schedules, plans and reporting on project status
- Vendor management and expediting
- Developing specifications for the equipment, sub-assemblies and installation
- Prepare and maintain traceability procedures
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards and specifications
- Supporting the delivery of relevant change management programmes across the business as and when required
- Involvement in the setup of the system, operation and maintenance activities, and commissioning activities on site, for new and existing ICAX heat pump installations
You will have:
- a minimum two years' production engineering experience
- good communication and team working skills
- be self-motivated, able to work independently and take initiative
- full UK driving licence
- the right to work in the UK
Ideally you will also have:
- a minimum of 1 years' project engineering experience
- a minimum of 3 years' relevant engineering experience
- knowledge of/experience using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems
